Trevor Findlay is a Principal Fellow at the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne. He spent thirteen years in the Australian diplomatic service followed by appointments at the Australian National University and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. He was executive director of the Verification Research, Training and Information Centre in London for seven years, followed by ten years as a professor at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, where he held the William and Jeanie Barton Chair in International Affairs. Most recently he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University. He was appointed to the United Nations Secretary-General’s Advisory Board on Disarmament Matters in 2013. His current research focuses on global nuclear governance.
