Fissile Materials Working Group
Lesley McNiesh is the Coordinating Director of the Fissile Materials Working Group, a coalition of 80 civil society organizations from around the world working to provide actionable policy solutions to keep the world safe from nuclear terrorism. As the Coordinating Director, she has managed projects such as Policy Development Working Groups for the 2016 Summit and a group of Regional Representatives to better connect the FMWG international partners with the core work of the coalition. She held previous positions with the Partnership for Global Security, the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, and the Center for National Security Studies. McNiesh earned a masters degree from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University with concentrations in Weapons of Mass Destruction Policy and Energy Security and a bachelors degree from Swarthmore College.
